My artworks co-exist in the whimsical alternate reality where Victorian style meets power tools. Working in a 1941 adobe studio on the Rio Grande river with my faithful dogs Connor and Pi, I stitch custom hats, dolls and create Steampunk gear to inspire your greatest adventures
My tall custom art hats have their hearts in surrealisim and their skeletons wrapped in silks, velvets and vintage embellishments. I look for challenges in materials and construction and incorporate extensive handsewing along with elements like wood, metal and machine parts. Most of these hats take 30 or more hours to construct. Some of them have lights, some of them have sounds or move.
My dolls and toys are made from vintage fabrics and findings. They include well-dressed ravens, time traveling frogs, tribal deites, fantastic felines and mythical creatures.
