Blaze is a Rainbow Owl. Rainbow Owls are the adventurers of their species.
Blaze lives in Galisteo, just north of Galisteo Creek under the eaves of an old adobe house at the end of Goosedown Road. He flies by night when the skies are black and studded with stars. Tonight he is flying northwest over the Sangre de Christo Mountains, riding the cross winds.
His 20” body is made from brocade velvet, black moire taffeta, recycled black velvet, black satin, various cottons and orange merino wool felt.
His arms are made from polka dotted cotton with brocade velvet red and black gloves attached with pearl buttons.
His head is hand embroidered with 5 shades of pearl cotton. Gold safety eyes peer out under tufted eyebrows. His under beak is a batik white and black bone bead. His wings are made from moire taffeta.
Red chain stitching circles his ankles with red polka dot buttons above.
