Raven Heads to Old Town on Third Thursday
It’s Third Thursday and that means free night at the Albuquerque Museum. Salsa music and art are on the agenda as Raven heads to Old Town in a reversible vest made from cotton batiks, re-dyed silk duppioni and African cotton.
She is 21”, hand stitched from a black watered taffeta from 1950’s cocktail dress, black velvet, ikat Thai homespun cotton, cotton batiks and merino wool. Her body is decorated with ribbons, hand embroidery and 18 polka dot buttons. Her arms fasten with pearl buttons and end in black recycled lace.
Her look is accessorized with a dyed silk duppioni scarf and removable top hat with ostrich feather and bejeweled button. The top hat is made from Merino wool, lined with black and white polka dot cotton and hand embroidered along the wired edge.
For tonight’s celebration, she is wearing a pair of rock crystal, copper chips and hematite earrings. Her necklace is made from vintage butterscotch amber, carved bone african beads, handmade black Lampworked bead and rock crystal chips.
Shipping to continental USA is $10.00
